About Poltergeist:
A typical family in a quiet suburb of a normal California faces a frightening ordeal when its home is invaded by a Poltergeist. Late one night, 10-year-old Carol Anne Freeling (Heather O’Rourke) hears a voice coming from inside the television set … At first, the spirits that invade the Freeling’s home seem like playful children. But then they turn angry. And when Carol Anne is pulled from this world into another, Steve and Diane Freeling (Craig T. Nelson and JoBeth Williams–In the Land of Women) turn to an exorcist (Zelda Rubinstein) in this horror classic from director Tobe Hooper (Texas Chainsaw Massacre films) and producer and screenwriter Steven Spielberg.

  1. It wasn't the first. That was a Tobe Hooper movie. And The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974) also used real human skeletons. They were brought from countries like India and Bangladesh to be used in health schools in the US. Dawn of the Dead (1978) is another movie that used these real human skeletons.

  2. Watching this scene as a young boy I was more fascinated by her barely having any clothes on and being covered in mud.😄 After I heard about the real skeleton thing I thought this must've been somebody's perverted fantasy.

  3. 40 years after this movie came out. Am I still the only who thinks there's a huge plot hole, plot hole… About digging a pool and never discovering bodies buried while doing so? How deep do you think they bury people?

  4. I would be throwing hands on Steven Spielberg saying:

"You SON OF A B****! You didn't make corpse props, so you took REAL BODIES, didn't ya?!!! You son of b****, you cut budget corners and you JUST USED dead people! You JUST USED dead people!! WHYHYY???!!! WHYYY?!!!!"

  5. Imagine if you were told you that your grandad or aunt were these skeletons in movie! It would be a huge shock.
I watched this movie when I was 12 years old and it scared me this scene because these skeletons looked so real.
    This scene was just amazing!
