In 1966, the residents of Point Pleasant, WV and the surrounding areas reported multiple sightings of a large, winged creature with red eyes. Dubbed “Mothman,” the sightings were accompanied by reports of UFOs and strange visitors.

Unfortunately, without a way to verify the alien claims it is difficult to know if some people just got spooked and thought they saw a monster, but it was just an owl. And then more sightings occurred because people were on edge and paranoid at that point, because of the original claims that could have been just their eyes playing tricks on them. But I feel like there is still a relatively high likelihood that Mothman is not an owl. And I think it is kind of bizarre that the sightings stopped after the bridge collapsed. While that could be related to people are now having a larger focus on that because it was a tragedy you don't tend to forget the elephant in the room or the Mothman in Point Pleasant just because of a tragedy.
I didn't know there were any UFOs connected with the Mothman case! (But you did bring the Indrid Cold thing into it as well.)
And no, I don't believe Mothman was an owl, or a crane. Those don't have 10-12 ft wingspans, or chase cars.

The drawing of Mothman at 10:34 is my favorite rendering of the entity. Although amateurish in nature, it has quality to it that chills me to the bone. I would like to know who drew it and when. I've seen it many times before and no other drawing of the creature has an effect on me like it does.
