I prefer the budget friendly Hada Labo Premium Essence over the snail mucin. Much more hydrating.
How do you incorporate essences/toners into your retinol nighttime routine since retinol should go on dry skin? Do you wait until the essence is dry?

Seriously, skin texture for sure. Essence is not toner. Toner comes before essence. It changes my skin and my view on essence.
