Interlude Act 3 – Ashen Forest to farm the Frozen Mandible companion. Near the top of the zone you will find a checkpoint where he burrows out of the ground. Respawn at checkpoint until he has a haste aura. I got this companion yesterday so you can still get this guy with haste aura.
Hi everyone great video, how can u move and shoot at the same time, I can only move and shoot for about 2 sec and the character stops and it doesnt move as fast as u in the video.

reminds me of the blood and steel build . I know it is built different but it plays the same , which is cool to see.
A few notes, since I'm running a similar setup. By getting/annointing the Tandem Assault notable and putting the new Culling Strike 2 support into a random support skill like Flash Grenade/Wind Dancer you can get your threshold high enough to cull white monsters on the first hit guaranteed with Decimating Strike. The goal is over 217% increased culling strike threshold. This is mostly just because it's funny to technically do infinite damage in a single hit to white monsters, but it is a substantial damage multiplier against magic/rare monsters to do this so probably still worth it for clear.
As for Single Target, while I've been able to get to a few million DPS using High Velocity Rounds and weapon set shenanigans, it simply does not scale particularly well in the late game. For reasons beyond my understanding GGG gave the skill around 3% more damage per gem level rather than the typical 7.5%, meaning it only scales up to around 800% weapon damage at gem level 30 instead of the 1400-1500 it would have gotten to with normal scaling. This unfortunately means that even when scaling insane levels of attack speed to activate Riven Armour as much as possible and spending an entire second passive tree on every single damage/crit node available to snapshot the highest possible crits you aren't really getting the build above maybe 3-5 million DPS even with two perfect crossbows as far as I can tell. Maybe there is some extremely broken scaling vector I'm not aware of, but at high gem levels the skill is basically just missing half it's damage. For reference, in 0.2 HVR did around 3000% weapon damage at gem level 30, which would have been able to easily one shot pinnacle bosses with crits/bleed. Unfortunately the rework, while extremely cool, kind of gimped the skill. It does enough for all of the content with high investment, but it can't really compete with the boss damage of more meta builds.

Started levelling this late last night. Even with just some basic cheap as chips twink gear and a 6-link AP Rounds it's the best this game has ever felt.
Single Target can be improved via grenades, Totems and Shotgun ammo due to the synnergy of high velocity rounds

If you wanted to run shard scavenger buff you could put "exploit weakness" supportgem on wind dancer to make it eat the broken armor so you can rebreak it with your skills, works better for mapping than bossing though.

Pretty cool.. I've been working on a Warbringer version of this build and it's also kicking ass.
And this game is a fucking pain when you play a close combat class… While every distant build is a pure joy…
If you set your crossbow to be used for both weapon sets, it'll give you two Crossbow Shot skills which you can put on left mouse and right mouse, for example. Have your Armour Piercing Rounds only on weapon set 1 and your High Velocity Bolts only on weapon set 2, and after using each skill to load your bolts, you only need to have binds set for the Crossbow Shot from each weapon set. It makes using two different ammo types a lot less clunky, because you don't have to keep manually ammo switching.
Giving this a try, looks mega fun, feels similar to last lament lich, will see if I can sort out single target and see if ev/es feels better than es/arm ward route(maybe es leech with sanguis gloves also might work, though i doubt it), but more than anything im jealous of those gloves, absolute cinema those 🤤
single target for crossbows: shockburst rounds after shocking with either plasma blast OR with another weapon. Alternatively fragmentation rounds also do sick damage if you fire it on a frozen target and permafrost rounds have great freeze buildup, takes quite a while to build on pinnacle bosses like Zarokh though which is a pain after the first rotation when they are resistant to the ailment buildup for a while.

Does HVR multi hit with multishot? Or apply the riven armour debuff with each projectile?

I have something similar but I like to use all the amo types and have them synergize with each other using support gems mostly stacking poison and bleed. There’s a passive node on the bottom of the tree by the crossbow that gives you like 20 25% damage for every ammunition type fired in the last 10 seconds. I’ll usually hit the boss with like 4 different shots and than destroy them with high velocity. The damage mixed with the bleed just guts em. I use poison gernades aswell but it’s not necessary

tip: salvo + HVR will shotgun all shots if you're close enough to target because the shot originates from the tip of your xbow

You could use the HVR/fragmentation rounds combo on weapon swap for single target. Theres a post on the pathofexile2builds subreddit that talks about procing riven armor 125 times per second. It deletes and it fits in with your bullet hell fantasy

This looks great, sadly I'll never like the wasd movement control set so these kind of crossbow builds will never truely feels good for me 🙁
Tried the similar way of build this league "pure phys xbow", never actually thought of using culling threshold increases to ramp up killing speed, but if i could give advice:
Try xbow with desecrated suffix "chains +1 times" it will make it chain off of the enemies instead of terrain, and instead of nova projectiles i was using gambleshot
For single target damage:
Fragmentation rounds with armor break consume and shard scavenger make the shotgun go brrrrr 😂
P.s. ngl they gutted high velocity rounds too since they dont consume armor break anymore, so xbow has lotsa broken in a bad way synergies right now. Overall very interesting to see if you can make it work, cuz i've abandonned this idea. Good luck and nice job going off-meta ❤
Just a note that the culling strike is trash stat in group play so If you plan to play with friends expect that it will not work. Party play scales monster life, not the cull thresholds. Group size ↑ ⇒ enemy HP ↑, but the cull lines stay the same. “Increased Culling Strike Threshold” modifiers scale off the base (e.g., +100% ≈ double the base threshold). Reports show these bonuses can fail or appear reduced in multiplayer (e.g., item Myris Uxor applying 60% solo on whites but only ~30% in party). In big group you can expect the culling threshold to be at 1/5 of what you have in single player and there are reports of some culling nodes/items breaking in multiplayer so I guess it can be even lower. Basically it will never work as if you get monsters to low level hp anybody from party will just kill them by looking at them with all the dmg in 0.3 patch.
Culling is only good at the beginning. I think as you scale up your damage, culling becomes unnecessary because your damage is high enough to one shot most stuff. I think you can look into scaling a single shot damage of high velocity round for the riven armour debuff and use armor piercing rounds high hit rate to take advantage of that debuff. You will need to scale one shot high velocity to be as much as possible and also increase the duration of the debuff, then use armor piercing rounds to finish off bosses
