Song context:
In a branching timeline of events from Dusttale, being a mix of the events of “Dusttale” and “Disbelief,”
Papyrus has ended up killing his brother in self defense.
He has ultimately chosen to follow his brother’s plan in a decision of guilt, sadness, and rage
as he ends up learning about exactly what drove Sans to start killing in the first place.
After very recently having to even kill his closest friend Undyne, BF runs into Papyrus in waterfall.
Papyrus then describes to BF a clever new aspect that he has added to Sans’ original plan that Sans had not considered…
making BF suffer before every death he receives at Papyrus’ hands, so that he’ll fear it and never come back.

this honestly has to be my favourite dustin song on the entire ost.
the beat itself is a symbol of papyrus's new self, and how hes incapble of going back. (Bonetrousle lotifs) and the way the artstyle changes along with the melody is absolutely sick.
Dustbeliefs comic is still one of my favourite things to read to this day, its amazing to see this song be based off it – mod took 3 years to release,
worth the damn wait.

Honestly the contrast of Phantom Sans compared to the other Phantoms in the mod. All the other phantoms have their own sections where they demand your attention and are usually really energetic and fast while Phantom sans is more of a backup singer and supports his brothers' singing which really fits his personality
I absolutly love how this music feel more melodical rather than messy, its not fast, or hard, its just a good song, they did a great job!
For context dustbelief papyrus is worse than dusttale sans because sans hates himself for stooping so low to the human but papyrus blames the human and is his main motive for the whole AU he also legitimately thinks that sans is with him guiding the monsters he's killed to the afterlife as well as setting traps at save points and making the human die in very painful and torturous ways as to "convince" the human to reset and never come back
This song is so touching. Favorite song in the mod. I would listen to this every day.

4:10 best part the whole mod
Everything about this song is so peak. Instrumentals are phenomenal , referencing a lot of motifs like harder monsters, waterfall, etc. it's slow-paced but slowly builds momentum and gives a nice drop at 2:12 and 4:15 .
The unusually slow pacing at the beginning could show papyrus's slow psychosis breakdown, sorrow and regrets while it descends into a breaking point where papyrus becomes insane near the end truly wanting to go with the idea to torture BF (By drowning based in comics supposedly)
Vocals were immaculate. Love how they have layers of harmony at some points in the songs, sans' vocals really add to the vibe of the songs and matches very well with papyrus' especially 2:48 and 4:16 .
Visuals are OUTSTANDING, it could be one of the best in the mod, its up there with YOU ARE, Thermal Shock etc. The references to the original comics and comic style it serves were so creative, and JJK's 120% potential is so funny to me. The comic panels were a good way to show progression in the song without having to do much cutscenes (although i guess it counts) Finally damn papyrus be overwhelming BF was such a nice moment to see ( The spritework during that final part was straight up aura farming )

Personally, this song was probably among the most diverse of the mod. It felt so much slow and serious, quite fitting for papyrus but still… It's very cinematic in a sense.
I think it poses mainly as a tense-story telling method more than a challenging song. It's peak.
I adore the fact that Dustbelief Sans looks and sounds like he's saying "kick his butt bro. he ain't so tough."
