Mercenary crossbow options for single target damage are shock/electrocute…. or armor break with poison/bleed. Your high physical damage crossbow is good for everything, except maybe reloading the single shot skills, so lighting way is the best way for the weapon you bought.
isnt projectile damage less useful for this build, since most of the damage comes from the glavanic shards beam and shockburst rounds pulse, both of which are not affected by projectile damage?
I have played witch hunter since release.
It has the strongest clear in game for the lowest budget investment if built right.
The strongest part of witch hunter is with its cull combined with decimating strike which makes it the best clear – budget build in game.
Myris Uxor is a must have helmet that increases cull threshold by 100%.
I have 150% increase on my build, almost instant screen clear capabilities and bossing is a lot of fun.
Sorcery ward is bait, use acrobatics instead.
Ps, I have 8 Myris helmets with corrupted 120% cull, thank you in advance for making me rich when this becomes popular

+7 cossbow + 500-600 dps and you struglling with pack of monsters… Merc it is bad designed class. and only one that have limited skill use beacuse of reload…why no othere clasess is limited.. you see a mage with limited spell to use ? NOT ?? how this is GGG balance overview.. trash game

Im lvl 88 using galvic shard but with total another build and im stack, only half of t15 can go throught, i havent energy shield, no currency and cant defeat 4th ascendency boss because of low dmg, so i will follow ur build and waiting for ur upgrates, greetings and thanks
This build is far superior on deadeye the tailwind helps reload speed and skill speed will also add another reload speed and attack speed plus u can get additional projectile which will make the plasma blast shoot 4times with scatter shot and shockburst for some reason will deal for about 30%more damage, the only advantage the witch hunter had is the zealous acquisition and u can work on cast on shock light rod aswell if u have a lot of divs
I mean, u kinda just made the same merc everyone else made. Galv and Shockburst.
I messed with armour piercing rounds chaining and armour explosion, it wasnt horrible, but it wasnt particularly good either.
I dunno i just feel like the default for everyone is to go a lightning build on any class that can, and that just bores me.

kinda just ballin out with a homebrew tank/sunder heavy titan atm (50=max res in all aspects -chaos and 75% DR in act 1 cruel atm) supprised building full bulk still kinda works even though damage is WAY higher across the board compared to POE1
impressive,just what ive been trying to do, just not with primary lightning.
i also LOVE thatyou basically have no real crossbow nodes from merc tree,and no real nodes designed for default mercin mind (because they are ASS) immideate escape from merc tree into ranger and monk tree for the most part.
Have you noticed any "jamming" when holding down galvanic shards or is it just a controller bug? There's so many instances where my skill is completely filled and refreshed but while holding R1 since I play controller, it literally does nothing at all for like 3 seconds, then it fires. Idk if you or anyone has a fix for this.
IF you dont mind the LONG CHARGE, Plasma Blast is VERY strong and Still Crossbow
Hey so you never talking about it in this video but you say on the build guide to use the Rampart Raptor crossbow How do you get around it having suck a long reload and taking forever or is the 30% reload penalty new on it
I wish there was a build that utilized weapon master or at least duel weapon sets. At least… something that isn't lightning rod bow and xbow
why witchhunter tho when you can go deadeye and be a lot stronger and faster
Considering that we visit the starting area of Monk and Ranger anyway, are there any benefits to going for one of their ascendancies instead? In terms of movement speed, the Pathfinder would come to mind, who'd also get some extra skill points on the house. The Invoker might benefit the lightning damage even more. Of course, this doesn't help you personally in any way, but have you thought about it? Or is the Witch Hunter shield critical tech for the build?
By the way, I love these low IQ builds. Ever since Diablo 2 I have always been looking for builds that use two skills at most. Ideally, I just want to click on enemies until the pop like piñatas, and your build here is very close to that.
