  1. Nerfing good skill after good skill in the span of a few hours like doing a whack-a-mole is what blizzard did when D4 came out… Thankfully they stopped it. GGG never did that in the past but started now…

  2. Seems like I got lucky picking nade merc. Went into ranger zone for ele hits and ailment magnitude to hit massive ignites with gas nade explosions. The nerf isn't so bad if you're supporting gas nade for ignites because once they are ignited, the monsters in the gas cloud will immediately explode the clouds, reigniting themselves. So you can just spam fire gas nades once you see the ignite.

    Ailment and ele hits are scaling the lightning nades too, so I've just got heaps of options.
    There was some pain getting the mana sustain right. Right now at level 50 the answer is to kill the bosses before I run out of mana, but speccing into passive mana flask charges and mana recovery has worked.

    All in all, every time I've felt like I really needed an upgrade I've been able to make it work across gambling/crafting. Perhaps that's luck, but in that case, I've been consistently lucky. Too blessed to be stressed, I guess.

  3. Already nerfed lel 🙂 Also to people comparing it to Dark Souls – pls stop. Any game that has some challenge in it and a roll/dogde button is a souls game nowadays xD And Dark Souls is not hard. Comparing it to Monster Hunter is even more ridiculous.

    As for the game, im finishing Act 3 – so far i like it. I like the slower approach, instead of the zoom zoom finish map in 1 min gameplay of PoE1. But it needs some tweaking. Reduce damage and hp of white mobs, i should not be forced to kite them like theyre magic ones, thats silly. Also, buff loot. And im not talking about quantity – i think less loot is better, i hated the explosions of loot in PoE1 – where 95% of it was utter trash. Just buff rarity from rares/bosses. Fighting a beefy rare or a miniboss, for them to drop 2 magic items and 40 gold sucks. Its the launch of EA, a lot of tweaking will be made, im hopeful. The base game and fundaments are great, thats whats important.

  4. Im doing Oil + Gas grenade and detonate with explosive shot.. while there is still a burning ground (from oil), i just spam gas grenade and it just keeps exploding.

  5. So i saw the gameplay yesterday and i was like that is way to much dmg, i wake up today and nearly 50% nerf on gas grenade, i guess it was nice while it lasted

  6. I hate people gaslighting others into 'oh, loot matters a lot more because they are rare' and they forgot unlike dark souls, every items except unique are randomized in arpg genre. No, even if something ever drops it means nothing because it will most likely be garbage. And majority of arpg players are here for that dopamine with loot. If the interval of loot dopamine is almost nonexistence, what even is the purpose?

  7. Really weird you're in act4 with no lesser jewellers, I'm also at act 4 with 3 sockets in all my skills and a few jewellers to spare.

    On another note: I was going all in into the gas grenade explosion but a friend gave me a tip that Explosive Grenade feels better and I agree. Gas grenade has better tooltip and faster explosion but for some reason I found it whiff killing packs, while explosive feels more consistent.

  9. Ruthless bullshit they shoved ruthless down our throats with poe 2 such a boring slog through the campaign with little to no reward. Damn near every item that drops is a white item. I play arpg for loot not for the fights.

  10. I will say im really enjoying it so far but itemization feels brutal. I'm level 13 i think and havent found any evasion gear to replace what i found nearly 10 levels ago. Havent had a regal or enough rares to make one drop yet.
    Im not asking to have to sort trough loot explosions only to find nothing but maybe a drop worth looking at a little more often.
    Also i recall them saying something about making us feel like we should be crafting through the campaign, and i would love to. But currency is so scarce at this point it doesnt feel worth risking.

  11. At this point I just got bad luck, I'm further than any of my friends, but I do 10-20% of the damage they do, despite knowing what i'm doing… It just feels really bad to see an SRS guy do 5x my damage 12 levels below me while i'm using combos and perfect playstyles out the wazoo

    edit: one more thing, it's gas cloud from grenades that gets detonated by flame wall for big explosion
    edit2: and it's nerfed, lol

  13. Maybe a hot take but i find galvanic rounds to be better than Frag rounds if you're not trying to proc ice related rounds, the clear just feels a little better, probably because of the shock build up

  14. The problem with the souls-like games and even MH is they don't run on a 'start your whole character over' seasons. And while I like the new style and I'm loving my first play through, the mob hp, especially whites, needs to be adjusted down a bit. Usually, I'm itching to try out all the builds, get them to maps and play around a bit before starting a new one just to play with it, but with PoE2, I don't feel like starting over at all.

  15. the tree feels SOOOOOO inferior to poe1.
    – rigidity of choice due to heat map making outside ring stronger, forget the melee witch's and caster warriors.
    – attribute choice is ez mode but so inelegant compared to poe1
    – special witch minion nodes, inelegant

    This feels catastrophic because poe 1 needed the spirit change/fix the aura build philosophy. Four auras shouldn't be a light aura build. I would love it if the "one of each support only" was slapped onto poe. Poe could have used the graphics update. poe 2 skill ui suuuuuuuuucks BAD.

  16. Game is amazing love finding new things interesting builds, we literally have a year of exp before full realease. Even as a demo still more interesting than d4 garbage. I love gear actually matters and unique items are rare. Eventually the pace will be adjusted to balance with move gems later and movement shrines in areas. Not to mention crosssssplay!

  17. The maps are too big, like unnecessarily long and if you die the monsters respawn……..no thanks. Not too mention any loot that dropped will despawn. Loot needs overhauled big time ,more crafting currency and movement skills.
