very proud of KCD making it to the list <3
Flight Simulator is terrible in rural areas.
I live in Montana, so I experience real cold too often for a game to make me feel it.
Arachnophobia mode should be banned. If you can't handle the spiders, play something else.
SUBNAUTICA ON TOP
Most obvious missed games – Witcher 3 and FFXV
personally my fav is the rpg trilogy of ac. stunning worlds! i could lose myself and just live my fantasy in them forever x
This video is 100% wrong unless the title is a mistake they are listed exactly backward. Totally disagree
Witcher 3 and Skyrim, I used to stare at the Moon of Skyrim for hours, even had it as my wallpaper xD
What about the Far Cry series? like far cry 4,5,6?
Firewatch
3:46 The Wild is calling you, and you're there to SHOOT IT
UNCHARTED and The Last of Us
Correction: on some maps in hunter: Call of the Wild there ARE predator animals like wolves and bears, you can die in the game.
Some i personally enjoy just being in are Witcher 3, Days Gone, Avatar (yes, story sucks but the environment is intoxicating), Horizon, Skyrim and RDR2 to name only a few
0:36 ..Just ignore the occasional attack from Cannibals and Monstrous Mutants.
Bro literally went from Explore good Nature games to survival games 😅
The irony of a bird telling us how to enjoy and experience the outdoors virtually is hilarious.
I miss ARK
As someone who grew up in a far-north desert, games are great. I can explore without dealing with freezing grey plains in winter or 100° summer ovens.
Medieval dynasty, skyrim, stranded could also be added?
Top 3 was wild
Watching gameranx is like trying to watch tv with someone standing in front of you i swear ive watched an ad every 4 games
I feel like avatar frontiers of Pandora is a great game with one of the best worlds out there. Absolutely stunning
Falcon sir, 1 question. why is it that most of the games previewed in your channel seems like they are struggling to run. it really strains the eye and experience. You can definitely afford a good hardware, please.
Holy crap! URW getting some love?!?
Love this list–other than the fact that RDR2 isn't #1. It's a no brainer for me. RDR2 is the best natural ecosystem there is. Hunt gets a runner-up for it's intense atmosphere, fidelity and density. Side note, although the music is really awesome and atmospheric for a lot of these games, I tend to turn it off and just listen to the ambient sound design. Definitely much more immersive, especially for games like Subnatica.
Ark and STALKER
lol no one will able to guess the no.1 on this list for sure
but hey, no Witcher 3? enjoy scenery with roach at day, then spend night with some prostitutes…
Hogwarts? just fly around, its magical place
even FF7 Rebirth… i can just walk around all day and listen to banger music
You’re wrong about Call of the Wild: The Hunter. There is danger. Packs of wolves will hunt you, brown bears will attack you and moose will run you down.
Nothing beats rdr2 as far as the feeling of being a part of a living world. Still blows my mind that nothing has really come close.
imagine prefering these garbage games over red dead and ghost of tsushima. you list sucks
This channel is allergic to gacha games despite fitting in the categories and I have no idea why
I think I would prefer exploring a solar system then Multiple galaxies. It feels overwhelming at times and my adhd brain gets fried with thinking what else is out there or if I wanna set up shop on this particular planet and if I do what would I be missing out on the other billions of planets out there😅
No Days Gone, come on the game looks amazing.
Far Cry Primal is the one to beat for me, a great prehistoric world full of wildlife.
And you can turn on survival mode which adds stamina/ sleep/ fast travel costing food. And it has limited lives modes and even a permadeath switch. Permadeath makes animal encounters super tense.
well travelling ain't as easy as I used to imagine, and it's not just go out and explore type of ish. But I won't elaborate more bc mfs would just put the extreme few on a pedestal and make it the prime example.
Y’all are sleeping on RDO trail rides
Thanks, I've never seen a video featuring this particular subject before. Appreciate it, because it's one of those things that can really make or break a game for me. For instance, I'm playing Cyberpunk 2077 right now, and although it's an interesting game, I don't like being stuck in this dense, bleak urban environment. Same thing in Spider-man. I enjoyed the gameplay but didn't like feeling cooped up in NYC all the time. Conversely, part of what I love about some games (e.g., Horizon ZD) is just enjoying the beauty of the natural environments. In real life, I love walking in nature and can't stand big cities, and I see that reflected in my game experiences, too. Anyway, thank you, good video.
Falcon is Ancient confirmed 3:00
This started out as "games to explore nature" and just turned to a showcase on survival games that happen to have nature present. There are numerous non-survival games that definitely should have been included, as many other commenters have pointed out.
How you forgot "Conan Exiles"!?
