At the foot of the Alpujarra mountains lies a remote ‘pueblo fantasma’, an abandoned village where time stood still after it was depopulated in the later half of the last century. What was once a fully inhabited settlement with oil mills, grain mills, a library, cemetery, and church, is a rather bleak and desolate place in the eyes of the few who bother to visit. Now all that you’ll find here are crumbling buildings, crude graffiti, and some miscellaneous ‘relics’ left behind by vagrants and squatters
