■ While on the road, we decided to make a detour to Point Pleasant, WV to check out some of the sights and areas of legend about The Mothman.

Are the stories of a large winged bat-like and man hybrid with red glowing eyes that terrorized this area just an American Urban Legend? Let’s poke around and see what we find.

  1. Great video buddy. Love the history and folklore about the town, we've been there a few times and even stayed at the Lowe Inn, it's a beautiful hotel, but the owners have an independent we don't care about customers attitude. We booked one of the "haunted rooms" months in advance, only to be bumped for folks that wanted it for two nights, the owner tried to say we didn't specify a certain room, even though you could see our reservation in their book was scribbled out and another room number put in. Plus the haunted room were about $30 higher and that's what we got charged, she said didn't refund the difference either, to boot, when we got back to our room later that night, it had mouse turds on the pillows and sheets. When we told them in the morning, they just shrugged and said that room doesn't get used much. lol
    It's a cool lil town with lots of history, thanks for sharing Cya tomorrow.

    I think part of the reason they don't want people in there is contamination from both the TNT and DNT, which probably seeped into the ground.

    I think that area may be classified as a superfund site as well.
