Iron Grindstone Liu is a classic Zen Buddhist story of Liu ( a Buddhist Nun ) who makes pilgrimage to a Chinese mountain – Mount Tai.
It explodes how things can be true and false at the same time. It explodes how we really don't have a clue about the nature of reality, since the closer you look , the more things become slippery and fluid , impossible to pin down ir measure. Kind like strings!

I have to ask you do you believe in ghosts Neil ? Love what you do ❤️
34:24 Neil, just to be absolutely clear – your very first dig as an archaeologist, was in a place called 'lock-doon' ? 😂
You are haunted because you are too well read..& wtf. Lay the baby on a swans wing…not the mother’s breast.

I'm an American. Love your accent and stories. Yes, sound can do that in nature . I spent time in the Montana wilderness and have heard things. Not seen anything except a gnome in the hollow of a tree which turned out to be a geocache in the middle of nowhere, LOL! But the sounds in nature can be natural or from spirits. Personal experience tells me that the spirits are real. They are actually demonic spirits lingering because there have been pagan religions and rituals in the area that worship other gods besides the One true God Who gave His Son Jesus for us- or someone has sinned greatly in that area (murder is an example). If you are ever tormented by the evil ones, turn to Jesus and never let Him go. From that time on you will have His power over them. Do not doubt it.
😂😂😂
Not unusual, some places just give you the creeps. I'm quite familiar with the feeling.
Sometimes in the highlands of Scotland especially, Her mist can seem like it's a living entity, an ethereal intelligence, the way it can just suddenly appear from The mystical Spirit Realm, gravitate, swirl, finger, wrap it's awesome self around every nook and cranny of the Earth Realm, high or low, seeps through flesh and bone, only to just as suddenly, dissolve. It can be very beautiful, but equally very terrible…

For all you fawning followers of men, take note of this: Jeremiah 17.verse 5. “Cursed is the man who puts his trust in man. . . . “.
This has been my favorite of all the series that you've done so far. I've got so much that I could comment on in this episode, but I'll just share this one story. I grew up on the foothills of the Bitterroot Mountain range in Montana. As children my siblings and I played in the forest and mountains with no fear. Many times, I encountered wild animals but always felt more excited than afraid. One day I was spending the afternoon out in a well-known clearing reading a book when suddenly I knew that I wasn't alone. I looked around me but saw nothing there, but the very real presence was so tangible, and the sensation of danger and dread was so real that I grabbed up my things and ran for home. I never went out into that forest by myself again.
I have had a strange experience a couple of times camping at Sprinkling Tarn near Great End (Lake District), on both occasions it was a wet and windy night so the tent fabric was flapping in the wind. In a half asleep state I heard foreign voices laughing and running through the wet puddles on the ground. Of course it could have been an hallucination due to the sound of the wind etc but I found afterwards that Carl Jung had a similar experience in his house by the lake in Switzerland. So who knows, but he described them as foreign voices running past. I have still to ascend Ben McDui
Love listening to Neil. He is indeed a brilliant story teller. I don’t agree with everything he says but none the less I enjoy listening to him.
Once again, Top Notch video👊👊👍👍

Yes yes yes about the feeling you get when you up high. You describe it perfectly. It often manifested in me as an overwhelming fear. The grandeur of it all. This feeling only went when I lost height. Then I felt safe again. 😮
A wonderful talk, thank you.
Yer da probably just said "love you son"
Various frequencies in music have various effects on our emotions.
Are you still presenting on GB NEWS Neil? Haven’t been able to catch you there for a while. Su.
So many ghosts upon Kinder Scout in the Peak District too.
I've come away puzzled as to some of the things I have experienced up there.
This man is better than benzodiazapenes..
I don't think I've ever made it to the end of one of his talks…

No such things as so-called `ghosts`, demonic spirits, yes, but NOT `ghosts`. Your departed loved ones are in one of two places. Either their souls have entered into `The Lord`s rest`, where they will `sleep` until being resurrected, or they are in hell, being punished for their evil deeds until the day of their final judgment and sentencing.
Can you please make a little introductory video of your Wolfies 🐾🐾🐾🐾
Wonderful
