I think he needs to understand that the average Yu-Gi-Oh game does not see turn three. He understands that it's fast but fast by Magic standards is 10 or 11 turns unless you are doing something truly disgusting, which as a Red-Black-Blue is my existence, while in Yu-Gi-Oh The expectation is instantaneous ending of the game. By the time both of you are done burning out your life points for additional effects and the odd little poke is done, It's very rare that when I have played Yu-Gi-Oh against good players that one of us doesn't immediately end the game on our second turn.

I remember jokingly siding in 3x battle faders for a locals event. I got to the semi finals and it won me my game 3 against a Yosenju Kaiju deck. My opponent got so mad 🤣
