TERRIFYING NIGHT ALONE IN A HAUNTED ABANDONED SCHOOL

Welcome to Ghost Theory, in this episode we team up with Connor from @TheExplorerReturns where he lives up to his name and returns to this haunted school. We decided due to there being a 3rd person in this episode we should split up and investigate alone.

Ashdown House

Ashdown House, is a distinguished example of early Greek Revival architecture in England. Designed by Benjamin Henry Latrobe, the architect of the U.S. Capitol and the White House, it was constructed between 1793 and 1795 for John Trayton Fuller, a member of the prominent Fuller family. The design features domed ceilings that are considered prototypes for those in the U.S. Capitol .(Wikipedia, American Aristocracy)

The estate’s origins trace back to 1285, known as the Manor of Lavertye. By the late 16th century, it had become part of the Buckhurst estate. The name “Ashdown House” was adopted in the late 19th century .(latrobeheritage.org.uk, Wikipedia)

From 1886 to 2020, Ashdown House served as a preparatory school, educating notable individuals such as Boris Johnson, Damian Lewis, and Charlie Cox . In August 2021, the property was sold to a property developer for £5 million .(Wikipedia)

Today, Ashdown House stands as a Grade II* listed building, celebrated for its architectural significance and historical legacy.

  1. The reason most likely that other doors open and then close is because when you open or close a door on the same corridor it causes a vacuum and the soft close mechanism just shuts it again. I'm a chippy and have had nightmares getting the soft closers to work just right to stop this happening It's almost impossible.

  2. Forgive my ignorance, but have you fellows shared descriptions of the cameras and other equipment that you use? Could you repeat it here? Can you hear me? Did you die here? Thank you so much for any response. 😁

  3. I’ve grown to like your abrupt-ass endings. It like, “it’s complete. No need for anything more. There is nothing that can be said that will add to or explain away this body of content. It is perfect because it is purely the sum of its parts & nothing more or less.” Getting philosophical on your collective ass there for a minute-You guys’ passion shines thru even on the most non-evidentiary

  4. So, the phone thing was super weird. My phone has continued playing the audio from a vudeo I've been watching after I've locked it on occasion, but never just randomly when I've not been using it. How long ago was this filmed? If it's recent, it seems weird that his phone glitching would be a christmas song? I also heard the little wimper noise when Joe was on his own.

The only thing with the door is I thought it could have been caused by like a cross breeze type thing as he opened the door. I've been in places before where the opening of one door can cause another one nearby to open slightly. All in all, a really good episode!
