  1. Well, what if the girl cut the flywire herself under instructions from a man – not even necessarily a man she knew, just someone authoritative, she's only 8? It gives me the creeps how close her bed was to the window, doesnt look like curtains were closed either (close your curtains, just fyi) would be great to get a shot from the street to see POV of killer, how obvious was it that there were kids and esp a young girl inside from the street? I wonder if the killer tries to get in through window or get her out but from the looks of it, its kinda tight esp for adult so he just tries front door which is unlocked, hence deposits of tree bark in her floor. Poor baby, its prob too late now but I hope she's found, her killer brought to justice.

  2. Remembering that January is typically the hottest month of the year and that domestic air conditioning was not common in the 1970s, it was fairly normal for both adults and children to sleep with a window open and only a fly screen to keep the creepy crawlies out. After the Eloise Worledge incident, people started locking their windows at night.

  3. What does the phrase, "involved in other relationships" mean in this context? Is it a polite terms for swinging? If so, then who among these peoples' "partners" might have had a "thing" for little girls?

  4. I wonder… she knew her parents had troubles and it was showing in her behavior/personality while at school. A teacher noticed. Said teacher also a scumbag and knew he/she could use that to his/her advantage to get close to the girl. Teacher then shows up at her house, maybe even knowing dad was going to be moving, takes her…

  5. Window main evidence I don’t think abductor would come in and make it look like an abduction and robbers would make too much noise I believe someone from inside 🤔

  6. Polygraphs are pseudoscience nonsense and mean absolutely nothing. Witness statements are proven to be very unreliable. If the screen was cut from the inside and cobwebs weren't disturbed, it sounds like someone tried hard to make it look like she was kidnapped. No forced entry means the culprit was already inside the house. I think the father was the responsible one.

  7. Multiple perps. 1 inside,
    [there's ALWAYS a way in….
    especially back then]
1 outside. Hole only has to be big enough to pass her thru. She might have been tricked. Chloroformed…? No dog in the house? You can walk around a sleeping family's home uninvited all night, just dont try and "sneak". Slow steady, confident movements…..or she snuck out and things went left when she was expecting things to go all…..
    Right…

  8. I remember this case very well as we lived in the adjoining / parallel Haldane Street.I moved from Beaumaris for work in 1969.I did not know the family. As mentioned in the video, it came to light that alleged paedophiles worked at Beaumaris Primary School during Eloise's time there.I attended the school, then known as "Beaumaris State School" ,in the late 1950's.I hope this case gets solved.

  9. This is the first missing person case I can remember. I recall hearing about it while holidaying at Port Macquarie. I also remember it raining all holiday, and being stuck inside. No summer that year.

  10. So sad 😢. Such a beautiful little girl. People are heartless. Little Eloise deserves to be found. If dead she deserves a befitting burial. I pray they find her.

  11. This case remains on my mind to this day. Eloise grew up not far from me and was almost a year younger than me when she went missing. Her abduction was huge news at the time and we, as kids at school, tried to ‘solve’ the case. Sounds silly now, but we just wanted her to go home to her family and friends. The famous school photo of Eloise still haunts me to this day. ❤💔

  12. A case local to me. We were the same age and every girl at my school was terrified and obsessed with this case. If I could choose just one Melbourne case to solve I would choose this one. I don't believe the parents were involved and I think the father Lindsay was poorly treated by the media and websleuths. One tiny quibble with this video: Eloise was known in the family as Ella, not Ellie. Thank you for bringing this story to a wider audience.
