Science-Backed Benefits:
Combining Vitamin C and EGF can destabilize EGF and reduce Vitamin C’s efficacy due to pH incompatibility. Vitamin C works best at a low pH (≤3.5), while EGF thrives in a neutral environment (pH 6-7). Using derivatives like Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate or Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate can help maintain stability and effectiveness. For optimal results, consider layering techniques and time separation to avoid pH conflicts.

  1. Azorbic or ascorbic. Either way nothing is better than L-ascorbic. I have been using the ordinary EGF for about a month and am not super crazy about it other than it's cost. I use L-ascorbic 20% every other night, unless I'm spending a ton of time in the sun I don't really see a need to use it every day because it has a reservoir effect in the skin, won't wash off and will stick around for 3-4 days but as long as a week. So once your "reservoir" is full so to speak, I don't think using it everyday really has a benefit. One thing I am excited about is beauty of joseon serums and their retinal undereye balm, but I just use it like a moisturizer all over my face, also super affordable.

  2. Hi beautiful young lady! Thank you for your informative videos. I just found your videos for the first time. Just bought Ordinary's EGF serum. I'm 72 and need all the help I can get. LOL. I use Lanbells EGF serum. I alternate all of my products. When I turned 70, the dreaded bags came along, and that was my 70th birthday gift! Lucky me. Can't seem to find anything that will diminish them. I will try the Ordinary EGF serum under my eyes and will also micro needle it in as well. I just started to get fine lines along with the baggage. Lol! I know laser will be the best thing to get under eyes, but for now I would like to go the less expensive route. Thank you again! You are so cute, funny, and have gorgeous skin, hair and eyes. Looking forward to your other videos. It's never too late to start taking care of our skin, and body. God Bless.

  3. Thank you! I've had some good results from the GF Solution already and have used it BOTH in the morning and night routine, so it's hard to say to what degree the efficacy has been reduced from combining these ingredients.

In the mornings I've used the GF Solution directly after my Missha First Essence, BUT have usually buffered with a watery toner after that (usually the Purito Centella Unscented, Ive heard centella should maximize the efficacy of Vitamin C!) and then followed up with the Vitamin C13 serum from Cosrx.

Maybe I'll just have to keep the GF solution at night time for a while…

Is the vitamin C derivatives really as effective though?
