Small note on the pronunciation of "y" in norse:
It's a pure vowel, quite close to an english "i" (except with some lip rounding)
As such, Ylva is pronounced /ilva/ instead of /jilva/. Same goes for Yggdrasil, it's pronounced /igdrasil/.

Okay these are sporatic shower thoughts but hear me out…
I think luffy represents Zeus and Imu is Hades who took over the upper human realm. Maybe because nika or Zeus was getting too dangerous or say the underworld couldn't fit as many people as deaths in numbers the ancient weapons could've caused?
I'm spitballing now but…
I also believe there is a physical hell or underworld. Either a moon opposite the one enel is on or it physically in the middle of the earth where imu sends these islands. The abyss refers to some sort of speed travel through that realm which PERHAPS is how shanks moves so damn fast. He's marked or has access to the underwater currents or that abyss travel.
The angel realm or heaven is either sky islands or the moon, we have earth's surface, the sea and the underworld.
Zoro will rule the underworld, luffy will rule the sun or sky? Maybe sanjis got the sky. Jimbe will rule the sea with shirahoshi.
I don't have it all figured out but the wings of the pirate king? Skypieans and birkins wings go opposite right?
Sanji will is his passage to the sky realm, zoro will be the downward wing which can bring luffy to the underworld.

Hey, I got a random thought, but has anyone else noticed how each arc currently has some references and call backs to old arcs? Egghead we had like a rehash of the straw hats vs cp0 and the buster call, and in elbaph, nightmares coming to life, horror stuff maybe and even Cerberus, it's all thriller bark stuff coming back. And I wanna say egghead was very weak of an arc, we were supposed to get many secrets and questions answered, but it was really cut short. I understand editing and stuff, but let Oda sensei tell his story how he wants to.
