For the record, nobody died in Drakelow tunnels. 3 people were submerged in sandstone and debris after a roof collapse whilst the sandstone was being chipped away at and explosives were used to blast larger holes throughout the tunnel, but all 3 people later died of their injuries in hospital. A woman who worked in the tunnels during the Second World War was ran over by a reversing truck, but she also died later on outside of the complex due to injuries. During the Cold War, when Drakelow tunnels were being used as a bunker for MPs and other higher-ranking officials, there were no fatalities. There may have been some workplace injuries, but no deaths inside of Drakelow itself.

Drakelow Tunnels is where that guy got the picture of the creepy faced man right behind him. His first name is Anthony, I can’t remember his surname now and it’s driving me mad! Does anyone know who I mean? Dark haired guy with a nicely trimmed beard. It’s an IR photo so it looks purple.
