Hey Guys,

EGF is an acronym that stands for Epidermal Growth Factors. EGF was stumbled upon by scientists Stanley Cohen and Rita Levi-Montalcini when they were studying nerve growth factors. This discovery eventually earned them the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine in 1986.

EGF are proteins that are part of a complex network of growth factors and receptors in the human body, and their main function is to signal cells to regenerate, rejuvenate and repair. When EGF binds to a specific receptor, it stimulates the production of epithelial and epidermal cells in that area.

EGF is also believed to improve blood circulation and increase collagen and elastin production. Not only do growth factors help in skin healing, but they also help in repairing corneal, intestinal and mucosal wounds – how awesome is that?!

When EGF levels decline, cells don’t receive signals from growth factors, and other proteins and hormones, to regenerate or repair damaged cells. As a result, wrinkles and fine lines may start to appear on your skin. So, using EGF products can help replenish the depleted amounts of EGF in your system.

The main responsibility of EGF is to encourage cellular growth, proliferation and survival. Primarily used in medicine to help in wound healing, EGF has slowly entered the beauty and cosmetics industry as an active ingredient in anti-aging products. Below are some skin benefits of EGF:

– Evens out pigmentation caused by age spots, sun damage or acne
– Reduces redness and swelling associated with eczema & rosacea
– Minimises the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines
– Stimulates production of collagen and elastin
– Keeps skin soft, firm and supple
– Strengthens moisture barrier
– Smoothens out the skin texture

  1. Hey 👋 I just purchased Cell Reju EGF for my Dr Pen 8. It is to be used as a MN serum during your mn treatment & not afterwards although you do leave it on to soak in and work its magic. What are your thoughts 🤔 on this? Thanks 😊

  2. This sounds like a good serum, but it should NOT be used for microneedling because there are too many ingredients in it that are not physiological for human skin. Using it immediately after microneedling can lead to bad inflammation and very bad breakouts.

  3. Hi TJ, the first time I watched this video I had already bought a serum called Emepelle which was way out of my price league but with the constant dry skin problem especially on my neck I thought that might be the only way. However, I remember thinking the EGF sounds as though it would be the same if not more but I didn't want to waste a very expensive product so I've now used up the Emepelle and I'm going to try the EGF. I want to say a big thank you for saying exactly what EGF you are using as it is very affordable compared to most I've seen which are way over the £100 mark!

  4. Damn, binging your videos, this is like my 10th I’ve watched…BUT I THOUGHT U WERE ABOUT 28ish….I just thought you were really smart for being so proactive….just couldn’t believe a 28 year old would even care about skincare!?!? Great job🥰🥰🥰🥰
