Imma be honest I really, REALLY try not to let other people's opinions and actions influence what I enjoy, like ever.
Like, I love video games for example, plenty of them have terrible audiences filled with horrible toxic people and it's never once affected my enjoyment.
But I'm sorry, hiphop/rap does it for me. It's one of the few things I genuinely feel ashamed of listening to because the caliber of most people who make content and consume said content are genuinely some of the worst, most disgusting trash people in the world.
I genuinely cannot fathom being associated with people like that. Sure, sure, it's not all fans, but it's enough. It's enough to where the culture is just so incredibly fucking horrible that I feel if people knew I listened to half of this stuff they would judge me for it and you know what? I can't blame them.
