  1. I'm still working on The Hooded One, have to go back and get something so dude doesn't die, but I'm level 7 or 8 at this point, and I have to say I'm having fun. I go back and redo some areas and get gems and whatnot, using them quickly and putting points into attack and armor. I'm waiting to get a break to take another look at the skill tree, I'm stuck with this unallocated message on passives on the tree that I think should be available to me since I have a point. But aside from that, the game play seems fair, and I'm not struggling with bosses, I've died a couple of times from my own stupid mistakes and not understanding how the attacks worked but just messing around I got all that sorted and I'm doing okay with my Warrior. I guess I'll FAaFO when I meet the act 1 boss to know for sure? Otherwise, what's to complain about, the game is actually fairly easy to follow if you take the time to read. I'm really impressed with the job GGG has done with explanations and tutorials. I'm definitely a PoE beginner, I normally don't play these types of games.

  2. When you went to gamble once and received a freaking orange for your trouble (not envious in the slightest by the way, no sir!) you could have mentioned how freakishly lucky that was, as it will give fresh players the impression it's a fast way to best loot, which it usually isn't.

  3. It's funny that no one expects to have to grind and do expect to be given loads of gear… I'm not criticizing at all, its just a change in what people expect from games these days. Being almost 40 idk, I expect to have to grind and do some item work in an arpg. But I guess they've already tweaked the drop rates so I hope people are happy. Again this isn't a criticism of them, or anyone's preference, or the changes. Not saying games were better in the past, just talking expectations.

    I can't wait to know the game well enough to play hardcore. I usually start with hardcore but this game gives the sense that you can't just grind to safety. You need to know what to expect.

  4. Playing HC, I've died to the purple bastard in the trees twice in a row now. I wish there was a combat log to tell me what resist to stack for him.
    That said though, having leveled 4 times now, I have a "leveling" unique Xbow that I put gems in and it just oneshots the first 3 zones.
    You can get to level 8 without adding a point to the tree. I think "twinking" lower level characters will VERY greatly decrease difficulty so I hope they don't nerf the game.

  5. This is an ARPG that is difficult. But nobody talks about re-running early bosses for loot.
    If you are really Diablo 2 fans originally, why don’t you grind early bosses to twink out?

  6. Got Witch and Merc to act 2 for now, pretty smooth experience all in all… but yeah, focus on augmenting for life and resistances and early farming artificer orbs goes a long way

  7. Bro you’re using the most op character right now though.

    Try making this same video as a warrior before they change things.

    To be clear though, I LOVE how difficult it is as a warrior. Me and my wife play together on coop couch mode and we are having a blast dying 10 times over and having to master the boss mechanics.

    I think this is how the entire game should be. We jump up and high five each other when we finally kill the boss. Never had so much. I don’t want easy bosses.

  8. My recommendation is if you plan to spend any money on this game, get tabs! Late game they are so needed. But if you don’t want to get them, at least consider the currency stash tab. You can put all your currencies and runes into it and it’s sorted really nicely and along with it has a slot for gear making it much easier to use your currencies on your gear.

  9. 5:40 Item level has no bearing on the value of stats on Uniques. Unique items always roll within a set range, no matter what their iLvl is….that's the defining aspect of them.

  10. Doing nothing about psn not allowing mtx through pc is a HUGE issue for me and completely turns me away from the game… no compensation no compromise and zero communication from either company about this issue as well.

  11. This is fine and all, but my problem is that I litterally get NOTHING from playing… Im lucky if I get 2-3 blues in an entire area. And not getting any currency or gold is bullcrap. The game is easy if you actually have some luck with crafting, vendor or drop. But when all you ever get that could be anything useful, its a goddamn club….. thats nice, when im a ranger, and every single bow I pick up bricks with crafting, and I have yet to see anything useful from the vendors. The games difficulity would be acceptable if it was actually managable through crafting and drops. But you cant bake a cake without ingredients…. And NO, I dont wanna run the same area over and over to overlevel an area by 5 levels as I am right now, just because theres nothing to improve besides level

  12. poe noob here and I haven't 'farmed' any area yet for levels, just going through all of the maps once. I got through act1 using random skills and talents 😀 act2, the way to the last boss was bs (also the npc got bugged and I was solo), but overall, nice ok difficulty. Half of the act3 bosses and mobs are kicking my butt though 😀 If someone is struggling through act 1, he is in for a surprise 😛
    If you check your map, you will see if there is a boss or a chest or anything of value in that area, pretty obvious, but dont ignore those, everything drops something nice and most bosses are quite interesting fights as well.

    And a small tip I wish I knew earlier:
    use ctrl-click to the hooded stranger and he will identify everything without having to talk to him.

  13. I hated my monk when playing with my friends. Could rarely get any power charges. I stuck with it. Then I got my passive buff and tempest flurry(TF). What a difference. I use TF as main attack now it builds charges for bell. Summon bell and wail on it. Everything dead in seconds while lightning bolts crash down. I'm grabbing shock and lightning damage passives.
