Ghost Hunting Video at the Lowe Hotel (Point Pleasant, WV) Ghost Adventure, Spirit Box, Ghost Hunt
We are in Point Pleasant, WV at the historic Lowe Hotel. The Lowe Hotel, once named the Spencer Hotel, opened in 1901. In the 1920’s, the hotel was the center point of the downtown area. They would host extravagant parties and glamorous balls. With the stock market crash, the owners were forced to sell and the property was bought by Homer Lowe Sr., the namesake of the hotel. The hotel was acquired by the Finley family in the 1990’s with plans to restore the hotel back to the glory days. One famous ghost is that of Captain Jim O’Brien. Lore states that Captain Jim’s Homer Smith steamboat crashed in the Ohio River, which now overlooks his dedicated suite. We stayed in the famed room and brought out investigation equipment with us! Do we capture the ghost of Captain Jimbo? Come along with us!

My sister and I stayed at Lowe Hotel in Pt. pleasant, but knew nothing about it. There was shuffling somewhere above me all night. Found out the next day in an old photo album that there was the old ballroom above my room.). Then as we walked down the hallway to the stairs, we looked up to see someone rocking in the chair on that landing. When I told my sister, she went back to see and he was gone. We were the only guests in the Hotel that night, each of us a small suite; we slept very well. Great visit! Gwen Fulcher Freed
My aunt Ruth, is the owner of this hotel and it is so funny to me to see people always ghost hunting here to me because growing up seeing ghosts and weird stuff here was so normal😂 sorry for creeping on you, I was doing some research on her hotel to send to my sisters. Definitely makes me want to go ghost hunting again! I'll be going back to a cemetery here in Nebraska in a couple weeks where there is a Tom Jones and Elizabeth Taylor buried. They were supposedly hung from a bridge. The whole story behind it is interesting.
So Awesome. My wife and I stayed at a bed n breakfast in historic Cape May, NJ for her bday one year. I never had an experience before or after like the one I had there… I just felt something quickly move over me while laying in the bed and that was it. I didn’t imagine it. I then researched the area about things like that (which didn’t appear along my routine research lines) and found multiple records of similar events. It doesn’t scare me and I’m open to things, not to mention a true believer in God. Anyhow, you get the idea. Just wanted to share that… lol
