  3. Here's a basic pizza recipe:
    Ingredients:
    * For the Dough:
    * 1 cup warm water (105-115°F / 40-46°C)
    * 1 teaspoon sugar
    * 2 ¼ teaspoons active dry yeast (one packet)
    * 2 ½ – 3 cups all-purpose flour, plus more for dusting
    * 2 tablespoons olive oil, plus more for greasing
    * 1 teaspoon salt
    * For the Sauce:
    * 1 (15 ounce) can crushed tomatoes
    * 2 cloves garlic, minced
    * 1 teaspoon dried oregano
    * ½ teaspoon dried basil
    * Salt and black pepper to taste
    * For Toppings:
    * 1-2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese (or your preferred cheese blend)
    * Your favorite toppings (e.g., pepperoni, mushrooms, bell peppers, onions)
    Instructions:
    * Activate the Yeast: In a large bowl, combine the warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for 5-10 minutes until foamy.
    * Make the Dough: Stir in 2 tablespoons olive oil, salt, and 2 cups of flour. Gradually add the remaining flour, ½ cup at a time, until a shaggy dough forms.
    * Knead the Dough: Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
    * First Rise: Lightly grease a clean bowl with olive oil. Place the dough in the bowl, turning to coat. Cover with plastic wrap and let rise in a warm place for 1-1.5 hours, or until doubled in size.
    * Prepare Sauce: While the dough rises, combine crushed tomatoes, minced garlic, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper in a small bowl. Stir well.
    * Preheat Oven & Prep Pan: Preheat your oven to its highest setting (usually 450-500°F / 230-260°C) with a pizza stone or baking steel if you have one. Lightly grease a pizza pan or baking sheet.
    * Shape the Dough: Once risen, punch down the dough and transfer it to your floured surface. Gently stretch or roll the dough into a 12-14 inch circle. Carefully transfer to your prepared pizza pan.
    * Add Toppings: Spread an even layer of sauce over the dough, leaving a small border for the crust. Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese, then add your desired toppings.
    * Bake: Bake for 10-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly and slightly browned.
    * Serve: Let cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
