  1. Recipe 🙂

    Ingredients:
    • ¾ cup (95g) all-purpose flour
    • ½ tsp salt
    • ½ cup (43g) unsweetened Dutch-process cocoa powder
    • ¾ cup (170g) unsalted butter
    • 3 tbsp (35g) oil (canola, vegetable, or melted coconut oil)
    • 1½ cups (300g) granulated sugar, divided
    • 2 tsp vanilla extract
    • 2 large eggs + 1 egg yolk
    • ¾ cup (128g) semi-sweet chocolate chips
    • 14 Oreo cookies, roughly chopped

    🧁 Instructions:
    1. Prep the pan:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Line a 9×9-inch baking pan with parchment paper and lightly spray it with non-stick spray.
    2. Mix the dry ingredients:
In a large bowl, sift together the flour, salt, and cocoa powder. Set aside.
    3. Melt the butter and oil:
In a medium saucepan, melt the butter with the oil and ½ cup of the sugar over medium heat. Stir often. Once melted, remove from heat.
    4. Whisk the eggs and sugar:
In a separate large bowl, whisk the eggs, egg yolk, and the remaining 1 cup of sugar for about 30 seconds. Add vanilla and stir.
    5. Combine wet ingredients:
Slowly pour the warm butter mixture into the egg mixture a little at a time, whisking constantly so the eggs don’t cook.
    6. Add dry ingredients:
Gently stir in the flour/cocoa mixture using a rubber spatula. Mix just until combined — don’t overmix!
    7. Add mix-ins:
Fold in the chocolate chips and half of the chopped Oreos. Stop stirring as soon as everything looks mixed.
    8. Bake:
Pour the batter into your prepared pan. Smooth the top and press the remaining Oreos on top.
    9. Bake for 30 minutes, or until the edges look firm and the top is shiny and slightly cracked.
    10. Cool completely:
Let the brownies cool in the pan on a wire rack for at least 2 hours before cutting.

    🍪 Tips:
    • Use any neutral oil: Canola, vegetable, or melted coconut oil all work.
    • Don’t overmix! Stop mixing as soon as you no longer see dry flour — this keeps the brownies fudgy, not cakey.

    Good luck baking 🙂 🫶
