BF6 IS THE WAY
Blue gear cap was the best version on normals. If they also changed rarity for crafted items, it would be perfect. I see too many purple BIS players out timmy hunting. But given how HR is now, it's kind of understandable…
This wipe I've been experimenting with different classes and had a hard time surviving in normals. As a veteran, I can only imagine how hard it is for new players going into normals.
If we don't cater to the new guys, give them a bit of hope to stick around some more, the player base will canibalize itself. We need IM to take responsability.
0-24 normal and 0-infinite hr was the best spot
Agree. Recently came back after a break, brand new to this season. Playing with friends who've been playing a long as me without breaks. We go in no gear, we expect to die. But EVERY team we ran into all has +1 on everything they can, +5 boots. You name it. I don't have the gold build up to buy kits like this so. I just expect to die when I run into anyone and that's fine…. for me I expect this because I know how the game is. Anyone just starting this is how their experience with the game ends… probably forever.
idk who or why anyone complaining about Epics in normals lol. If you don't have gear do Squires to Riches till you do *shrug*. The Rogue death at the end was great. Rogues need some work and the "random dungeon que" is silly when you only have 3 total dungeons to even choose from to begin with

3. Map difficulty is determined on lobby creation. To include all levels of difficulty including what we call HR right now.

Im fairly new to DND and let me tell ya, I just love when my lvl 10 Warlock runs into someone in Goblin Caves wearing legendary gear, lvl 893,450 and mercs me in 2 hits. Great experience for new players.

I remember when I first saw rotating maps for HR (I came back when water map dropped), I thought it was kinda neat. But considering each of the three maps (ykwim) fits a different niche for HR, losing the agency of choice kinda just upsets everybody. The gladiators don't have 100% goblin caves and don't get matched up with ppl who wanna fight them. Ice Caves AP grinders are getting jumped when they wanna be passive. Ruins…idk what ruins was for probably artifact grinding and the fights surrounding it

i have an amazing idea to solve the gear score lobbies, but i don't know how how i can get the message across.
Let's just throw in some numbers. The devs can figure the real values out (hopefully)
Every lobby should have a set gap between the strongest and weakest player queueing into the dungeon. Let's just say 100.
Some bozo has squire gear with gear score 7, the strongest player could potentially have gear score 107
if you queue with gear score 107, you don't KNOW if you are the strongest guy in the lobby. you could potentially be in a different game with some other 207 gear score bozo, and you could be the weakst. Bringing randomness and mystery into your queues.
The rest of the lobby would be filled with players whose gear score is between these two players.
The gear score gap could be taller for duos / trios, or calculated from the groups average. i don't know 🙂
honestly right now I've just stopped playing pvp and wait for arena since I'm so sick and tired of being gear gapped
High roller needs the same control that setting up a normals match does. choose your level, choose solo duo or trio, and go in. they want you to gamble too much in this current system. people who play regularly know its not worth the risk of going in that blind.

If yoou play the game for PvP and the only place you can PvP is normals, thats not your fault.

…I seem to get into tons of pvp in HR no matter the level. Sure if I am poor I try to skulk away from fights but most of the time just run a squire to riches -> HR or norms with that gear. Sadly now the 5-700gearscore full biz teams have come out so its not as fun as with SSF loot since gear gap is huge.
I would MASSIVELY prefer if they made queues for non market place norms, maaaybe also limit it to found gear on a specific life. I can't count how many times I set up a duo with a friend where we both try to just grind up a bit of wealth as the timmies we are and then bump into a team of gemmed epic gear that fucks us up. At that point we can only say "oh well, let's try again", as we can't really run from people with semi-optimised gear since they likely have more movement than us.
It is completely up to rng. I WANT to play Ice map, but it never drops for me or my trio. Lobbies on EU are not only full, they are overcrowded, third party on third party type shit.

Personally i believe a few things are causing this super ratty/low pop behaviour in HR. However i disagree about market gear being restricted to HR, this game does not need more restrictions on gear.
1, Nightmare mobs only (increases clear time, they are very large speed bumps that prevent teams from interacting, espescially visible in ice caves mid where people will look at eachother across the room and not fight because there simply is too many mobs.
2, Zone. shits str8 c that griefs PVP and bossing
3, no statics / early extracts. PVPing early results in full inventory early and basically penalizes u as u took a risk and now still have to fight thru dungeon, similar thing applies with zone
4, HR random que. Nobody wants to fucking play ice caves 75% of the time, its fucking awful.
Man, I was hyped for the new season, seeing they actually added content this time. I don't have time and will to fully commit to the game, just play 1/2h a day. I like to go in full gray, loot some items in the dungeon, fight some guys, leave. Most of the fights that go in my favor, dealing way more hits to my opponent, I still lose because the guy is a minmaxed gem socketed bis owner. This sucks.

EU HR is slaughterfest, no AP farmers there, because every lobby is 7+ bissed out rogues, exclusively sweaty rogues.
I almost came back, and then I see this no gear limit in norms.
this issue was dealt with when we had gear score, and people still complained it was too hard. i feel the only fix to that is make the squire to hero a solo, duo and trio system not just trio

Because HR sucks. Most people do not wanna deal with the mobs while fighting. Farm AP and no need to go back to hr once you get demigod. You have more and better fights in normals
I can't comprehend how IM and SDF manage to degrade their game patch after patch. Came back after a 9 month hiatus and it's in a worse state then when I left.
-Dungeons are basically an arena now with people constantly spawning in.
-Want to queue up for solos? Too bad, because there is going to be one or two people in complete purple BiS rolling the dungeon.
-Want to High Roll? Too bad! It's Ice Caves again!
-UI & vendors are incredibly unintuitive and clunky. No auto sort, auto deposit, no drag on other items to swap is INSANE at this point. Inventory & stash management is a core part of the game and it feels so bad to use in its current state.
Dark and Darker is in an endless cycle of the same content being added and removed and it seems they have learned nothing after all this time. It's always one step forward, two steps backward.

I respect why you don't want to play HR but I still don't respect you being part of the problem. You're definitely going to run people off that try to come back because they think norms can be the place they practice PvP then they get rolled over. I've already seen a few reddit posts about it. I don't want to hear from anyone that the new Squire game mode is the better option when there's no solo queue for it, you have to be matched against different team sizes. This is ultimately SDFs fault, but anyone running BIS in norms is also at fault.
If you don't like playing norms with players that have better gear than you play squires!
