The Best Fudgy Brownies Ever! • Tasty

Super chocolatey, chewy, and fudgy.

Here is what you’ll need!

The Best Fudgy Brownies
Servings: 9

INGREDIENTS
8 ounces good-quality chocolate
¾ cup butter, melted
1¼ cups sugar
2 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla
¾ cup all-purpose flour
¼ cup cocoa powder
1 teaspoon salt

PREPARATION
Preheat oven to 350°F/180°C.
Chop the chocolate into chunks. Melt half, then save the other half for later.
Mix the butter and the sugar, then beat in the eggs and vanilla for 1-2 minutes until the mixture has become fluffy and light in color.
Whisk in the reserved melted chocolate (make sure the chocolate is not too hot or else the eggs will cook), then sift in the flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
Fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients, being careful not to overmix as this will cause the brownies to be more cake-like in texture.
Fold in the chocolate chunks, then transfer the batter into a parchment paper-lined square baking dish.
Bake for 20-25 minutes, depending on how fudgy you like your brownies, then cool completely.
Slice, then serve with a nice cold glass of milk!

  1. Here's the recipe for you, if you want to make it less sugar.
    70gr butter
    55gr castor sugar
    1 eggs
    1 tsp vanilla
    200gr chocolate (130 melted+70 chunk)
    50gr all purpose flour
    30gr cocoa powder

with this adjusment, you can still get shiny and fudgy brownies 🙂 i highly recommend you to reduce chocolotae chunk if you want to make it less sweet!

  2. I really liked these, but even with using extra dark 70% Guittard chocolate these were too sweet for me. I also added espresso powder. Maybe make some unswwtened whip cream to place on top to cut the sweetness?

  3. These are just divine. I was worried when I took them out of the oven because I waited a few minutes and when I bit into one, it was pretty cakey. But an hour later they were completely fudgy. Here are some things I did:

    – I used chocolate chips instead of chopped bars, so for whatever reason when I melted them the consistency was pretty thick. I added some milk to thin it out so it was like the consistency in the video.
    – I thought the amount of sugar Tasty listed was wayyyy too much so I used about 3/4 of a cup. I made sure to whip the butter and the sugar to the creamy texture that was shown in the video, for this I had to use an electric mixer.
    – I used Hershey’s dark chocolate cocoa to further suppress the sweetness, so I recommend that for people who like that dark chocolate taste.
    – When I poured my batter into the pan it was a lot lumpier than in the video. The brownies still turned out amazing but I didn’t get that crinkly top. It might have been over mixing, so maybe add the chocolate before completely folding in the flour to get a smoother consistency.
