Nice I still get to watch VeryBadScav for the poe 2 grind
Nice to see you switched games. I played Tarkov for a bit but plan on sinking the next 6 months into poe2
Merc will be very interesting. They havent shown some skills from earlier version from him, so not sure if they still there. It will be interesting to mold him into nice builds. Still a bit early to bring out specific recommendations though – even i am at least as hyped 😉 as the next guy.
That beeing said:
Culling seems to be important as a Merc – Witchhunter at least. He leans very heavy into that theme. With cull and exploding his kills that can cull again if that stands till launch (gets stronger with density). Reducing chaff might be very helpfull as you dont need as potent of a AOE and can lean a bit more in Single-DPS (regarding supports as they are unique now) to focus down magic, rares and especially bosses more efficient.
My guess is he will need some kind of crowd control / environment manipulation or very good defences to survive.
SO many people, especially with POE brain, dont really consider that defence will work different as a concept. Not only because life is more rare and mitigation is way more prevalent on the tree but also mobility will be more crucial that it ever was. As dodging mechanics is kinda mandatory as of now.
BUT
what options are there? How easy will it be to reach the attributes on need? Do we need to rely on evade for big hits (terrifying thought). Is +1% Ele mitigation as strong as it was in poe2? Can we cross class with the merc as good as others? As it shouldnt be easy to scale ele damage in the south part of the tree…so much more unclear stuff.
but i wish everyone best of luck and to be a 12 year old again waiting for early christmas (6th Dec.) like me.
I personally love the POE content but could maybe suggest uploading to a second channel. I'm seeing these videos get less traction on your feed and that can really mess with the algorithm for your Tarkov videos as well! Unless you're transitioning into a POE content channel 👀
