I was allowed to watch Poltergeist at 8 years old at a babysitters house in the summer of 1983. They had HBO and even though my parents and the daycare house owner were actually OK with me watching it, by myself BTW. I had nightmares for WEEKS. The clown trying to strangle the boy, the frickin skeleton coming through the portal, and most of all the guy that went in the kitchen and there were maggots in the chicken drumstick and then he goes in the bathroom and starts tearing his face off. Frickin terrifying
I was way older like my mid to late teenage years when I first saw this movie and it still scared 😱 the shit out of me
Girl, I was 5 years old when this movie came out in 1982, and babaaaaay!!!! It scared the shit out of me. I remember wanting to be the black Carol Ann since I am the youngest like she was. I used to wake up wee hours in the morning, turned on the TV, waiting for the Star Spangled Banner song to be over until it turned into fuzz. I put my two little 5-year-old hands on the TV screen thinking that it’s going to do something.
I was 9-10 and it was not scary at all it was just kinda stupid, you know?
I was 5/6 when I watched it I want to watch the 2 one
Let them watch it it’s not cursed and it’s not even scary dawg
Im currently 13. Poltergeist is one of my favorites. Watched it when i was about 3-4, it never scared me. Not even the face pealing scene. I mean it was like fun scary for me.
Im 9 watched it yesterday it was good i love but its low-key kinda dumb like a child eating tree like come on bro
This generation is way to mentally soft that's millennials poltergeist scared you that's weak lmfao
I'm still alive. People don't talk about me because of the curse I think. I was the first one then Heather came in.
Carol Anne died from sceptic shock
Bra, I started watching this when I was like, 5 and 6, and I was actually invested in poltergeist.
Parents let you watch that at five years old! 😮
I was 6 when I watched it
When I was a kid and fell to sleep with the TV on. Remember, all broadcasts were shut off after midnight or 2 o'clock. If you were woke up with that loud static blaring loud with those black n white dots. By the time you reached the nerve to shut it off, you were ready for 2 second battle lol. That sound was so scary!!!! God I wish kids today cld spend just one week in 1983
I was?? 55? When heather came to me. She's not scary
Heather has not indicated to me that it was cursed.
I thought Dominique Dunne was murdered in the early 80’s but the narrator said unalived. I guess every dead person is unalive but I believe it was either murder or man slaughter.
Same I was 5 and it took years for me to eat fried chicken and not be scared maggots would come out of it 🙃🙃🙃
I was 3 when i seen this andd it's the reason I'm obsessed with horror movies!!
