This honestly was your funniest review yet. I held out to the vampire queen bit before laughing so hard I scared the dog.
"Positively Cat like" finished me. 😂 This is a terrible film but I always havs so much fun watching it.
3:07 "I'M WINNING!!!" Really should be a popular gif.
I think of Jeremy Irons in "Dungeons and Dragons" and Frank Langella in "Masters of the Universe". These Italian fantasy movies were so wonderful in all aspect of fairy tale and adventure except the script. Shame… I love the costumes and creatures in this and Ator 3, no surprise Italian fashion ruled then.
Hey Robin please do The Car, The Pit and Repo Man you should also do more 70's and 80's stuff
Wasn't this the plot of GI Joe and a weather machine? What page of Cliche Story Lines is it on?
John Lithgow in ‘Buckaroo Banzai’ went pretty broad, but definitely worked.😊
This is different from the legend of Sinbad.
It's pronounced "Fur-een-yo." Like "Tattaglia" in The Godfather. Italian is a very subtle language. Ha ha, yes, that movie insisted upon itself, very funny. I'm sure we've all heard that one by now.
Has no one mentioned Alan Rickman in Prince of Thieves yet!?
9:33 New meme just dropped
No Sinbad adaptation ever gets the character right. He's a merchant who keeps getting shipwrecked.
Had to check because Sinbad is speaking, but all I hear is Baitou, namely because he was dubbed by Richard Epcar.
Jonathan Harris in the US TV series Lost in Space-so camp and over-the-top that in the movie reboot Gary Oldman didn't even attempt to compete and played Dr. Zachary Smith straight.
Nice Harry hills tv burps refference at the beginning
Jafar's associate was the Alienator!!!!!
Some very notable voice actors.
Whether it's good or bad, I'll watch nearly anything with an FBB (female bodybuilder), let alone a great one like Teagan Clive.
Always seems to break into song 😂
Lol the entire movie is dubbed by every anime VA from the 90s
10:30 "No and then!"
Another one that I worked on! I recorded the English-language dub on it. We could never make any sense out of the story .. but it was a fun project.
You should do the Toshiro Miffune "Sinbad" movie that's often sold as "The Samurai Pirate".
Good actors making the best of a bad job. Where to start? Christopher Lee as the telepathic alien in the strange black outfit – that was 1977, forget the name of the film. Donald Pleasence in any of the later Halloweens, Michael Cain in anything by Irwin Allen… Hang on… Anybody in anything by Irwin Allen. Anybody in Die Hard 4 onwards (and I'm not too happy with #3). Sean Connery in First Knight, John Wayne in anything not a Western or WW2. Hmmm, John Carradine and his 3 sons together in an episode of… I think it was the Fall Guy. Where to stop?
Speaking in grandfatherly voice…
You see, the Sultan so believed in his daughter’s virtue that he made her a fail safe for the gems. As long as she remained, um , pure, then the gems would be stable, but if she should yada yada, then the gems would dissolve.
Kid: What does “yada yada” mean?
Grandpa: Go ask your mother.
you know, the idea of narrating poe's tale as a bedtime story would make for a much better film, especially considering the references and footnotes in the story itself
@4:53…after this heroic display, Sinbad says to no one in particular he saw the Terminator do this in 1984… XD
Oh man imagine if it had turned into a musical, but only for the villain. I would have lost my mind.
This may not be much of a movie, but it sounds like a great D&D campaign. Vikings, ninjas, dwarves, wizards, monsters, all we need is dice.
As for an actor making the best of his role, that would be Dean Stockwell in "Married To The Mob".
Whenever Poochie's not on screen all the other characters should be asking where's Poochie…
I’ve changed my mind 🙇♀️
I’ll just go to sleep 0:54😄
Usually when Robin shits on Cannon and their films, I'll swing through to defend them. Usually. That's not happening this time.
Any bad movie with Jeffrey Combs in it will still see him giving his level best. Always a joy to watch him work.
actor making the best of their role in a terrible movie? once again, my answer for you is Russell Crowe in The Mummy.
We love the ORIGINAL and best HULK
Very 80's panto crossed with a hair metal video. And is this the only version where Sinbad has superhuman powers, rather than being a canny (but mortal) guy with a taste for adventure?
Waldorf: "Was that Sinbad?"
Statler: "No, but it was surely SUNG bad!!"
🤣🤣🤣
I absolutely love the way you narrate and present. Btw, I wonder what your thoughts are on Herzog's Nosferatu remake?
Jafar looks absolutely coked out of his mind.
Another example of someone making the best of a bad movie would be Jeremy Irons in the Dungeons and Dragons movie from 2000. He's munching on scenery from the opening scene he's in all the way through.
5:08 Sinbad… SMASH!
