If you pause at 17:00 and slow down the video to .25, then play to 17:03. When he takes the light from the stairs and turns twards the right, right before he stops turning right, there is a shadow figure in the door way. As soon as he starts turning back to the left to aim at the stairs, the shadow figure disappears.
when people add Brown Noise to the video I disreguard it – I wish they didn't add that stupid "Wind Hum" sound to everything it takes away from the whole video

BS it’s a skin walker. I believe that the boogy men of different cultures belong to those cultures and only manifest in that culture. If you’re out on Navajo lands, maybe. I doubt it. You can’t look at everything that falls into the category of the weird, exotic and bizarre as some monster from a realm of which you know nothing because you weren’t brought up there. Most of them aren’t monsters at all. Come on, folks. We have plenty of monsters to go around.
I think the noise in the video of guys breaking camp because of a suspected bears was a fishing reel. Or not. But that’s what it sounds like to me.
