Monster Hunter Wilds will be the big release for me (and my son too!). I introduced him to Rise's demo, and he's played through World, Rise, Generations Ultimate, Stories 1&2 with me. We're primed and ready to go!
The Tome Raider Collection (2) looks fun as well. I remember playing the fourth one on the Dreamcast because it was dirt cheap at my local store and loving it.
Woah. Smack talking the Switch Lite?? I put a Taki OLED screen on one of mine (I think I own 7 of them now, long story…) I love those for taking anywhere. Pick up and play.
That said , I did just grab the Oddworld series from Fanatical (reference to your post about where to buy😜). So I’ll be working though those as nothing in this video really grabs me, at least not at full price !
phantom breaker battle grounds ultimate is not releasing this month but on april 17 this year…
Excellent recap of the month brother and I too can’t wait to see if yakuza runs on the deck.
I’ve been watching a lot of videos on other handhelds which love to be compared to the steam deck. One of the benefits that always seems to go ignored is the track pads on the deck and how versatile they can be outside of just a mouse in desktop mode. What do you think about a video showing some of the more technical or QoL features of them? I feel it could provide others with a whole new set of features that they likely don’t know about.
Keep up the good work! You’re easily my top (and most relatable) deck focused channel.
Thanks for the video! Two titles will be added to my wishlist. Slender Threads has that dark Fran Bow and Little Misfortune vibe and Lost Records sounds promising, too.
Just wishlisted Avowed. Oof, that price tag. From Obsidians humble PoE beginnings to full fat price tag. Thanks Microsoft?
Thanks for the round up. Always love these vids, even if my wallet doesn't. 😉
Love playing on PC and the steam deck. I’m going to be doing most of my 3rd party games on steam moving forward. That Monster Hunter game will be my first in the series. Looking forward to it.
I don't really do the whole looking forward to games thing much, but Avowed might get me to a bit 😅
I loved the outer worlds, having 100%ed it both on Xbox and Steam, so if it's anything like that but fantasy instead of sci-fi, I'm sure I'll love it.
I'll wait and see what people say when it's released though, see if it has a lot of bugs and might be worth just playing it later.
Lost Records and Urban Myth look the most interesting to me! I’m personally getting burnt out on long winded games and am starting to prefer more compact narrative-driven games that aren’t trying to be everything all at once. I have too much in my backlog at the moment but there are both being wish-listed for sure!
Lost Records has been on my must play list for half a year. It is the must buy for February for me. Yakuza looks good, but I have never been able to make it through a yakuza (like a dragon) game, so likely will wait for a sale. but if the shup combat is THAT GOOD, I might change my mind. I have been keeping my eye in A owed for the last year, and it scares me that in less than a month, it will be released, and Obsidean is keeping pretty quiet about it. As long as it runs on the steamdeck, I will likely try it though.
There is no chance Avowed, Kingdom Come 2 or Monster Hunter Wilds are running at a consistent 30 on the deck.
Im definitely excited for Avowed and dropping right into GamePass Day 1
Wilds is definitely not going to run great on the steam deck
I'm going to play the Tomb Raider Collection but I need to play the 1st 3 Games first.
I thought they were saying the map in KCD2 is twice as big? Anyway thanks for the video, Sir!
Kingdom come 2, monster hunter 2 wilds, avowed will all not run on the steam deck so nice idea saying steam deck games lol steam deck is underpowered and has hit its limit like indie games and low budget games will run ok but new triple A games not a chance
Top three that got added to my wish list from this slick video: Slender Threads, Urban Myth, and Kingdom Come. Might live stream one of the first two options on my new gaming channel. Shoutout to Your Player 2 for the silent encouragement through the great content over the years! 🙏🏽
Psuedoregalia was such a great shout out.
Im not sure if uouve covered it but Nex Machina plays like old arcade machine games and is cool as heck, not at all a timesink game
Looking forward to the retro themed video, curious what it'll be!
I wish I could get into Kingdom Come because I love everything it does in theory. I might pick up KC2 (which I didn't even know was this close to release? and on my birthday no less) since, from what little I seen, it looks like a major improvement over the first which might make it more enjoyable to me?
Urban Myth Disillusion absolutely looks like my thing though. Will definitely be picking that up.
Just bought last week's list of
retro vibes recommendations 🤘🤘super excited for February
Keep up the great work always like seeing your videos
Lara croft 😁 so many hours in the day
