Inside These crypts, wooden coffins lie in various states of decay, their lids cracked or missing entirely. Human remains are visible within, disturbed by time or perhaps something else.

  1. I don't know if it was my imagination, but when you were saying "let's look In here" at the 1st vault with 3 coffins , I heard a horrid raspy voice say" yes, lets" right after you'd said it!!!😲😳

  2. Some really old graves in that cemetery. As much as I enjoy seeing these tombs and headstones, there’s a part of me that feels like, if I know it’s my time, I want to do like an old tomcat and find a beautiful place in the woods and pass on beneath a lovely old oak. The buzzards and the worms can have what I leave behind.

  4. 1776! The year of the founding of America! I bet some of those parishioners have American descendants today. A majority of Americans have Irish ancestry. I unfortunately am not one (though I do have English and Scottish). My children though are descendants of the McHughs. Their great great grandmother immigrated from Ireland over 100 years ago. I’d love to visit Ireland some day and visit the graves of his ancestors. My sister in law did that with her husband who is very very Irish (American). They stayed in a castle his ancestors owned and she visited the hut where her great grandmother grew up. These graveyards are so lovely!

  5. Wish folks would at least clear off the ivy and vines to keep it somewhat clean. Such a shame these places are history. Btw it's wonderful say the ages . Amazing how young people died and or what they did for a living is on the stone

  6. I've done the hair of my deceased family members and clients over the years. They cannot put dentures inside the mouths of the people who wore them. They put them inside the casket or coffin and tell the family members that yes, they put the dentures in with them.

  7. New to your channel…..am very interested in any GORDON family graves….my ancestors (according to family history) came from Scotland to Ireland then in 1698 (supposed date according to family history) arrived in America. Any info on any George Gordon's would be helpful. Unfortunately I don't have his spouses name but they arrived with 3 sons youngest born on way to America….thank you in advance

  8. I always find these videos fascinating because each one of those markers is the final resting place of a person. A person with a life a story and now just a snapshot in time. A quiet one at that. You, me, we all will have one of those places one day and just like a birthday we will have a day written in stone when we depart. It's a surreal thought.

  9.
