Who’s messing with the kitchen chairs? | Poltergeist (1982) | Warner Bros. UK

A typical family in a quiet suburb of a normal California faces a frightening ordeal when its home is invaded by a Poltergeist. Late one night, 10-year-old Carol Anne Freeling (Heather O’Rourke) hears a voice coming from inside the television set … At first, the spirits that invade the Freeling’s home seem like playful children. But then they turn angry. And when Carol Anne is pulled from this world into another, Steve and Diane Freeling (Craig T. Nelson and JoBeth Williams–In the Land of Women) turn to an exorcist (Zelda Rubinstein) in this horror classic from director Tobe Hooper (Texas Chainsaw Massacre films) and producer and screenwriter Steven Spielberg.

Very exciting!
I still can't figure out why they never were able to fix that awkward scene change at 6:38…
We had a dog…Ringo…used to stare into corners ….sat there in silence…spooky as hell.
This Scared Me A Little.
I can’t believe this is the same actress who appeared in Dexter…
I just LOVE this movie. Scared the crap out of me when it came out (I was about 13/14) but the family dynamic, especially with the husband and wife……..was one of the best things about the movie. But it was like a watered-down horror movie.
That chair stacking scene was the scariest moment in the entire movie.
An angel departed too soon 🕊
Donde puedo encontrar la peli completa en español latino?
Back in the days when Americans weren't obese
Excellent movie. To watch and re watch…..
70-80s movies like these are the best
Wilhelm scream
The part where she's telling him about the tickling and no air and then it cuts right to the neighbor's front porch always made me think as a kid that our VCR tape was messed up here. Looks like it was just the movie itself.
"Back when you had an open mind, remember?" Always cracks me up 😄
wow, i looked up the little blonde girl in the movie. i did not realize — she died at age 12! so sad. but she was a staple in my childhood with this movie.
They made the most simple things horrifying 😂
Everything about the scene where the Dad parks that big old beautiful Oldsmobile on the driveway is perfect.
As he slowly takes the incline, there’s a little scrape where the car bottoms-out.
As he opens the door the buzzer reminder for the keys in the ignition barrel and as he releases his foot off the footbrake, – the parking brake takes over and the whole car wobbles/bounces.
I just love it.
1:26 I would first take the wooden spoon out of the damn sauce! Jeez ^^
Yeaah
Thanks for your trailer
GOD bless
What a great movie.
Neither the conjuring, or paranormal activity can compare to this.
Went send this when came out at movies Girls were screaming But not Me well maybe we bit
So scared as a 3rd grader, me and sister would stand outside the bathroom while the other used it, "You still there?" "Yeah." "You still there?" "Yeah."
I've missed the joke that she changes to a horror war movie because watching snow is 'bad for you'
Both Poltergeist 1 and part 2 were excellent films. The third not so much. The remake of Poltergeist doesn't compare to this one.
Fun fact , at least one of The skeletons in the outside pool were actually real and the cast/ Diane wasn’t aware of that at the time . She did an interview and mentioned that in it. Like what.
🐺👀😏👼🏼😈
I was in 4th grade when this come on HBO my brother was a toddler. She was a good cheerleader for the chair moving
My older sister and her bf took me to see this when I was 10- the clown scared the crap out of me!!
JoBeth Williams…a beautiful woman the way women used to look without a size 52 rear end.
This movie proves that you don't need lots of special effects to make a scary scene like the chairs on the table
I remember watching this movie when I was 12 and it scared the sh1t out of me 😂
Fact: The house is really haunted! Ghost Adventures got to investigate it! 😃
Heather 😢😭
This film still scares the crap out of me to this day … one of the best spooky films ever made
Back when LA was somewhat affordable to live in.
It's the same entity that was messing with Linda Blair…..Captain something. 🤔
I never realized the house he is showing is the SAME house he lives in!
Ghosts,Poltergeists and their supernatural world they inhabit including – The TV People, truely most definitely indeed have an interesting, intriguing although certainly a potentially frightening, sense of interior design in their style and fashion especially with Kitchen tables and chairs.❤L.O.L.!
0:21 Is that a Wilhelm scream?
Such a classic
0:18 " That`s not good for your eyes. Better watch a war-movie, that is much better for little girls like you!" 🤣
Nice of 👻 to clear the table
saw this when i was around 6-7 years old (family movie night) and this scared me soo much I still have a slight fear in my mind that is preventing me from watching this movie at 44 years old.
This was the way life was for the American family. Except the drama😊❤
Prettiest movie Mom ever💯💯💯
Poltergeists 1 and 2 both made the 1980s most memorable.2 very well created Horror Movies. – Great contributions to the horror genre. – Films full of fun scares led to Audiences by very well crafted sinister and eerie suspense. Thanks very much Spielberg and Hooper for all the fun Horror Movie scares.😮
Spielberg directed 95% of this movie.
