Rise Darth Mutant Ras Cancer Protein, on a serious note when the Ras gene acquires the KRAS or MRAS mutation that involves substititution of either neucleotide at positions 12 or 61 of the gene with the nucleotide Arginine. This mutation then causes the RAS gene to be always switched on and constantly produce RAS, this inturn causes over expression of Cyclin D that combines with CDK to progress the cell cycle through the G1 to S checkpoint, resulting in uncontrolled cell division seen in Cancer.
That part of the vid was talking about mutant Ras in cancer.
