Point Prim Lighthouse is the oldest standing light house in Prince Edward Island. One of only two brick lighthouses on the island. Built in 1845 it has been standing strong for 180 years, making it older than Canada. Many generations of Keepers of the Light kept travelers safe. One keeper is reported to continue his work beyond death. Michael Mcleod Keeper of the Light from 1873-1897, passing away in the Light Keepers Cottage at the age of 74. This is first time the magnificent historical site as been investigated. I will be joined by site guides who are eager to attempt communication and perhaps another guest.
