Kaulder (Vin Diesel), a witch hunter, is cursed with immortality by the Witch Queen (Julie Englbrecht) right before she dies at his hand. As a result, he has been tracking down evil witches for centuries while leading a lonely existence separated from his wife and daughter. That is a very well crafted Glamour spell combined with maybe a Prestige or some kind of Fascination spell to lure the child in. It requires quite a talent to make something this attractive out of something this repulsive. It’s the tactic of the gingerbread house although I’m not sure what he was going to do with that child.
