Morozov’s advice to Dadikyan for his supermatch against Jablonski

On the Body Mania channel, we saw Artyom Morozov and David Dadikyan reunite at Denis Cyplenkov’s gym. Although Dadikyan’s focus is on his left-arm match against Kamil Jablonski on November first, the session begins with an anecdote about his memorable match in Dubai. They also discuss his upcoming challenges, highlighting both the mental and physical aspects of armwrestling.
This match perfectly illustrates the mental battle in arm wrestling.
Before the fight, Dadikyan kept saying he couldn’t focus to face his friend. But despite that mental block, his strength was superior and he was winning 3-0.
Morozov recounts it with the irony of someone who lived the situation:
“He kept saying ‘I can’t concentrate,’ but he easily won the first three rounds… so I had to break his arm.”
That moment during the match, combined with a brief lapse in concentration, extreme force, the angle of the arm, and fatigue from previous rounds, led to the injury. Dadikyan confirms it himself:
“He opened my wrist, I held on, and in a sudden movement, my arm went ‘crack’.”
A brutal reminder that at the table, even hesitating for a second, even against a friend, can be very dangerous.
But this is not just a friendly match. Morozov switches into coach mode. He knows that Dadikyan’s opponent, Kamil Jablonski, is a fighter who doesn’t rely on the wrist. That’s why his advice is clear:
“Don’t waste energy strengthening your wrist and fingers, because your opponent won’t attack you from the top. Focus on lateral pressure, on side pressure. That’s where you’ll win.”
Finally, Morozov shows Dadikyan isometric exercises on the armwrestling table, which involve holding pressure at specific angles to build endurance and strengthen the key positions in the match.

  1. "Don’t waste energy strengthening your wrist and fingers, because your opponent won’t attack you from the top." ………. This is totally wrong. Press is actually attacking the thumb and riser (i.e. the wrist) from the top.

  2. wtf morozov's advice is totally wrong. Please see ermes v kamil left hand. A good wrist, thumb and fingers along with good back pressure would play the key role in helping david escape from the press from kamil's fingers. Only side pressure is not enough to escape from the press position.
