  1. Thank you for this very informative and scientific explanation of how this product works. I have been using tretinoin for years but received a gift of the EGF Serum recently. I think I will use it on my décolleté and neck which cannot tolerate tretinoin.

  2. I think they wanted to make their formula extremely safe and simple, and so women who want to get pregnant and who are pregnant, can be safe using their products. You cannot use retinol while pregnant and if you're trying to get pregnant, you shouldn't be using retinol. I'm not saying this is for sure why they didn't combine it with retinol, but just my guess. Thank you for your informative video as always!

  3. I got this for Xmas and I love it! it makes my skin radiant and very plump but I would never buy it for myself at this price , I would however happily received it as a present 🎁 again 🤣

  4. This ingredient seems so fascinating but I read somewhere that people with psoriasis (an auto-immune disorder that manifests as plaques of built skin patches) shouldn't use products that contain it because our epidermal cells already have the tendency to reproduce too much due to overactive t-cells in our bodies 🙁 I was eyeing the Acure Rejuvenating Night Cream because it's affordable and has EGF + other peptides but now I'm a bit scared tbh. Thank you for the interesting video regardless!!

  5. I also understund that this growth factor can also use bad cells to grow- so for example someone who not aware of cancer cells – can triggers those cancer cells to grow as well- and this scared me offf big time

  6. This was so interesting. Thanks, Cyrille. I spoke to a scientist who worked at Bioeffect, back in the day, when I was consulting and doing product marketing. When I dug into the very simple formulas (this was when they only had 2 or 3 products) and how they used only 1 active ingredient, she said that SH-oligopeptide 1 was a very fragile protein (..and now I'm freestyling here…but if I recall correctly, its fragility could be a by-product of their EGF being from a genetically modified barley plant), and it gets inactivated by most other 'active ingredients'. Thus, they leave out everything else, so it can do its job. Does that explanation ring true to you at all? Also, as it's an Icelandic brand with a focus on simplicity and nature, I think the brand considers it a virtue that they have such a short ingredient list (less chance for irritation for those with intolerant or sensitive skin). Not saying this is the right approach, just what l learned from their team. Thanks for infusing your deep scientific knowledge into this video.

  7. Very interesting, but your language, accent or lack of prepared written material spoiles everything! If you're not a knowledgeable person in chemistry or biology in particular, it's impossible to understand, and even listen. I tried so hard, but this is too much for a consumer who is interested in the details of the ingredients list. Very sad, the info is so complex and crumbled.

  8. This was so interesting! I’m currently using the Bioeffect EGF Serum and tretinoin in my night time routine and my skin has never been better. I know the formula is simple and very expensive but it’s sooo hydrating and somewhat moisturizing so on super lazy nights I can do the serum alone after cleansing and my skin is still looking and feeling good the next morning. The price is keeping me from saying it’s a certain repurchase, but I am considering it.

  9. Bioeffect is total crap! I bought it for my mom and she used it every night with no effect. I finally got her on Tret and it's made a huge difference in the same amount of time. I tried the Bioeffect and it was SUPER sticky and horrible texture, makes your skin stick to the pillow, yuck!
